Dr. Tim Delbridge, Ph.D.
Dr. Delbridge is an agricultural economist with research interests in cropping system adoption decisions, risk management strategies, and agricultural policy as it pertains to specialty crop and organic growers. Current research projects include modeling the organic transition decision under price and yield uncertainty and analysis of federal crop insurance options for organic crop producers.
Dr. Delbridge joined the Agribusiness Department in 2015. Prior to coming to Cal Poly, he earned a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota in 2014. He has taught undergraduate courses in Managerial Economics and Environmental Economics and Policy at the University of Minnesota and Oregon State University, respectively. At Cal Poly Dr. Delbridge teaches courses in Agribusiness Finance and Risk Management.
