Dr. Lindsey M. Higgins, Ph.D.

Dr. Lindsey M. Higgins, Ph.D.Dr. Lindsey Higgins is an Assistant Professor in the Agribusiness Department at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. Her primary areas of research and teaching relate to the marketing of agricultural and food products. More specifically, Dr. Higgins has extensive research and practical experience in social media marketing, wine marketing, produce marketing, and the marketing of food products to children. Dr. Higgins has an active research program associated with the impact of marketing campaigns directed at children and measuring changes in consumer behavior as a result of marketing strategies. As of 2015, her work has been published in 14 peer reviewed journal articles and multiple proceedings articles. In addition, she has published two book chapters and her work has been presented at more than 55 professional conferences around the world. Dr. Higgins teaches marketing courses within the Department of Agribusiness, coaches the NAMA marketing team, and serves as the advisor to the professional agricultural sorority, Sigma Alpha.
