National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) is the largest professional association for professionals in marketing and agribusiness. The first NAMA student chapter was started at Cal Poly in 1969. Student NAMA chapters can participate in the NAMA Student Marketing Competition. Each team develops a comprehensive marketing plan on a specific topic of their choice. The competition is in Kansas City, MO and is judged and critiqued by professional agri-marketers. Cal Poly has won the NAMA competition seven times in twenty-two years.
