CoBank’s Collateral Management intern will have the opportunity to gain experiences within the Appraisal, Collateral Audit, and Asset Based Lending areas. These experiences will come from a combination of working in the field with customers and completing office-based work. This role will be based in CoBank’s Denver office, and as such, the intern will have the opportunity to work directly with the teams responsible for these roles. This includes managing/monitoring loan availability via a borrowing base, the collateral audit function, and basic introduction to agricultural appraisal. The Collateral Management intern will also lead a research project that models the relationship between local industry demographics and market value of agricultural assets.



A successful intern will need to have an interest in understanding agricultural collateral, real estate, and agricultural commodities, a basic understanding/coursework in accounting, financial reporting, statistics, or modeling. Preference for course work in appraisal or real estate, agricultural economics, and agribusiness.
