Job Summary:
Human Resources Business Partner – Field (HRBP-Field) is responsible for implementing HR Strategies and district strategic action plans while managing an HR Team aligned to our Company’s Mission and Values in the support of our frontline employees. Along with the district’s VP of Production, the HRBP will help drive our mission and values across the district. The HRBP- Field will develop and foster productive relationships with Operations teams at all levels and will act as a trusted HR advisor. In partnership with production, the HRBP-Field will ensure sufficient labor for harvest plans and future labor forecasts. The HRBP-Field will work closely with the Employee Relations Business Partner (ERBP), ensuring his/her HR team effectively resolve employee relations complaints/investigations in a manner that is timely, empathetic, neutral and in line with of RAC’s values of Honesty, Fairness and Respect and employment law. The role will also work closely with other HRBPs across CA districts, Benefits Manager, and the Corporate HR Team to ensure alignment of programs, processes and with One HR Team strategy. This role reports to both the district’s VP of Production and Director, Talent Strategies

Job Contributions and Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Support:
• Provide support/guidance on performance management and individual development efforts for production team.
• Oversee field employee data management through PeopleConnect and personnel files, will support local operations with labor law compliance, competitive labor pay incentives, labor recruitment and retention strategies,
• Oversee OD programs for production/operations teams through the managing of OD Manager’s responsibilities.
• Provide strategic HR support to production management such as meeting labor and talent needs.
• Lead HR initiatives and ensure alignment to corporate and local production goals.
• Assist Production Managers in developing compensation strategies for the harvester employees that increase efficiencies and earning potential.
• Work with management to develop long-term labor strategies.
• Provide coaching to management on employee relations, talent development, succession planning, and labor forecast.
• Implement global support initiatives and also develop local recruitment strategies that attract and retain labor.
• Implement annual work environment survey, analyze results, present to Production management and develop action plan.
HR Compliance, Trainings, & Support:
• Manage HR Generalists and ensure investigations and resolutions of employee relations are completed according to RAC Values and Employment Law.
• Coordinate and oversee compliance trainings, to include Sexual Harassment, Discrimination and Abusive Conduct Prevention Trainings for all Field employees.
• Close collaboration with Workers Compensation team to ensure compliance with ADA/FEHA interactive process.
• Oversees the Reasonable Suspicion program for field employees.
• Assist Ranch Managers with Crew Leaders performance management and development plans.
• Supports safety initiatives and ensure labor law compliance are effective.
• Revise/update and implement field employee handbooks each year and for all district entities.
• Update all legal posting bulletin boards in the fields for the district, as needed.
Leadership Support:
• Responsible for the management and development of team, driving team Goals, and delivering effective Job Evaluations.
• Assists in the implementation of high potential field employee development programs.
• Support health and wellness programs at a local level consistency with global initiatives of RAC.
HR Managerial & Administrative Support
• Coordinates training programs, such as safety & HR compliance, leadership development, and technical competencies.
• Ensures accurate employee information is maintained in PeopleConnect (the HRIS), terminations, promotions, new hires.
• Oversees field employee personnel files, employment verifications, I9 compliance, and ensures accurate records retention guidelines.
• Plan, prepare, manage and administer the district’s HR Budget
• Review and approval of all HR Expenses in Onbase. Approve Concur expenses for HR Team and submit timely expenses in Concur for approval.
• Develop field incentives, pay ranges, ensure schedule pay, annual pay increases, OH bonuses, and adapt piece rate changes.
• Develop and implement workforce surveys.
• Responsible for HR Reporting: Turnover report, CL Score Card, HC Report, etc
Oversee district’s Employee Resources Center (ERC)
• Manage HR Supervisor to ensure execution of ERC programs & services.
• Manage Benefits Specialists to ensure benefits programs are managed effectively at the district level: LOAs, 401K, ADAs, health insurance and support to field employees, clinic enrollment and outreach efforts, etc.
• Mass onboarding’s, layoffs, exit interviews, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and abilities
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of state and federal labor laws
• Must be knowledgeable and stay current with CA & Federal employment law requirements and with CA Wage order 14.
Skills:

• Fluency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written communication, required.

Education Level:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Field of Education:
• Human Resources, Business or related field

Years of experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources
• Experience in project management, with skills necessary to interpret what is needed for the success of a project and to create appropriate schedules for timely delivery
Specializations, Certifications and Specific Experience
• Human Resources Certification from HRCI and/or SHRM, such as: PHR, PHR-CA, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP.
Licenses:
• Valid California Driver’s license and ability to be insured under the company insurance.
