Work directly with the farm and spray managers to coordinate when to irrigate walnut, cherry and basil fields to promote healthy and optimal growth
Use company vehicle to scout fields
Turn on and off pumps and document the irrigation
Monitor and fix irrigation system as needed
Analyze and use moisture readings to determine irrigations
Job Requirements/Skills Preferred:
Pursuing a BS in BioResource and Agricultural Engineering, Crop Science, Agricultural Systems Management or other agricultural related bachelor's degree
Provide a valid driver’s license
Able to work long shifts during harvest, possibly work 6-7 days a week
Familiarity with various irrigation pump systems
Excel/Google Sheets experience preferred
Be able to lift up to 30 lbs
