CAFES’ Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP)
Dr. Christiane Schroeter oversaw two students in the CAFES’ Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP). The SURP allowed students to work hands-on with a faculty member on an applied research project over the period of 10 weeks. Students were expected to work at least 25 hours per week and meet with their faculty advisors during their progress. Dr. Schroeter supervised Ms. Blair Brookes on the project “Empirical Analysis of an Incentive-Based Health Program with College Students.” and Ms. Caitlin Stevenson on “Determining the Impact of the 'Ripple Effect' in Team Work on Individual Information Literacy.” The photos show the students and their advisor at the Research Symposium where they each gave 10 minute presentations about their research findings. In addition, they created posters which were displayed at the Research Symposium. The Symposium took place at Cal Poly on August 25 and 26.
