Cal Poly Agribusiness Excels at NAMA Competition

Cal Poly Agribusiness students represented the department on a national stage at the 2026 National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) competition, applying classroom knowledge to real-world challenges.
Competing against top universities from across the country, third-year agricultural business major, Sequoia Davies earned first place in the individual sales competition and the Cal Poly NAMA marketing team advanced to the finals and placed sixth overall.
“The NAMA experience was incredibly rewarding and provided hands-on, real-world application of concepts that go far beyond the classroom,” said Ella Rodgers, a fourth-year agricultural business major and NAMA team member. “I gained practical skills, built confidence and created lasting relationships. It was one of those experiences where the effort I put into it directly reflected the value I got out of it.”
Congratulations to the NAMA sales and marketing winners!
