Job Description:
Paul Lato Wines is a boutique, family-owned winery based in Santa Maria, CA, producing world-class wines from the Central Coast. We are looking for a hardworking, energetic, and well-organized full-time Customer Relations Representative to help manage our DTC customer base.

This position is responsible for implementing our DTC marketing and sales strategies, working closely with the management team on implementing mailing list wine releases, scheduling, and facilitating tasting room appointments and events. This position also performs a variety of direct-to-consumer duties which include management of our Paul Lato Wines web store, processing customer orders via Wine Direct platform, management of winery inventory, and customer service related to shipping orders.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Should possess exceptional customer service skills and have a passion for exceeding customer needs and expectations.
• Should be able to collaborate in our small team environment and have enthusiasm for developing relationships, growing sales, discussing wine, and having fun in the process!
• Oversee inventory logistics for all wine releases and manage processing of DTC orders.
• Assist in preparation, planning, and execution of all winery release mailings and customer events.
• Responsible for daily direct customer service support via telephone and/or email.
• Accurately create, update, and maintain customer accounts and product line-up in our Wine Direct database, including maintaining our web store and product inventory.
• Perform outreach to customers via phone and email for order management and updated account information.
• Managing direct customer shipment logistics which includes packing orders, proper communication regarding shipping of orders to customers, and maintaining wine inventory.
• Should be able to maintain on-site warehouse inventory and organization which includes inventory transfer requests, physical inventory counts, management of warehouse cleaning, and proper organization of all products housed in the on-site warehouse.

The exact job scope depends on the candidate’s experience level.

Requirements:
• 1-2 years of customer service experience in a wine, retail, or hospitality job.
• Detail oriented, well organized, and efficient in mastering and completing tasks.
• Ability to work and think independently and collaboratively to see projects and issues to a timely resolution.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Professional telephone etiquette and strong communication skills. Skilled in composing and formatting business correspondence, business proposals and presentations.
• Able to always present a professional and positive manner & good humor.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Google Mail and Calendaring tools on Mac and PC platforms.
• Able to learn POS and inventory management software. Experience with Wine Direct and/or other e-commerce platforms is a plus.
• Ability to move full cases of wine is essential.
