We are currently searching for a Digital Sales Lead-West Region (Location: West-Fresno, Sacramento, Central Coast) to work with our Digital Sales team.

General Description:
The Digital Sales Lead will be a key player of the Digital Sales Team, supporting a Region through collaboration with Field Territory Managers and Strategic Account Managers based on assigned retail accounts to grow regional sales. The DS Lead will play a critical role in coaching development of other Digital Sales Specialists, developing analytics to drive revenue and field intelligence to power call to actions that have revenue impact.
The Digital Sales Specialist will manage a defined list of high priority regional retail customers, monitor customer satisfaction, conduct remote business meetings and training with retail locations, conduct region analytics to direct sales strategy, deliver on sales metrics and manage the sales administration process for their assigned retail accounts. Design, develop and deploy digital sales tactics for the Region and lead or participate in sales defined blitz tactics. Take direction from Director, Digital Sales Strategy and assigned Regional Managers, including constant collaboration with Territory Account Managers, Strategic Account Managers, and others in the sales, marketing, technology and operations team. The Digital Sales Lead will grow VUSA revenue by building a strong relationship with defined retail accounts through remote and digital sales tactics that align with the business needs of the retail account. Field sales calls will be defined based on customer behavior, relationship building and VUSA strategy.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Manage the success of defined set of retail accounts within a region. Represent the Valent portfolio including labels, MSDS, features, benefits and advantages over key competitive products. Increase EDI sales at defined accounts by identifying unmet needs of retailer and positioning Valent products, programs, and services to meet those needs.
• Align with Regions, strategy, and objectives for assigned retail locations, track sales targets for accounts. Build business plan for Inside Sales Territory with key objectives, strategies, and time-based metrics.
• Retail Account Profiling (CRM management): Develop and track retail account key contact(s) profiles, decision behaviors for segmentation, information sources and key influencers by name for CRM. Develop account metrics and lead efforts to expand, validate and power CRM data for use in Call-To-Action campaigns that will drive revenue growth.
• Reach and influence customers, including voice/telephone, limited field calls and various digital methods, such as WebEx/Skype/MS Teams/FaceTime, defined social media, text, on-line customer portal.
• Build analytical skills to transition to an account manager to 4 years. Including territory management, business planning, complaint management, relationship management, Impact Sales techniques, product knowledge and financial acumen.
• Lead design development and expansion of retail focused portal including retail grower EDI data expansion, reporting and analytics.
• Recommend analytics that will drive business for Valent and manage assigned customer analytics projects.
• Ensure sales, finance and legal policies, safety, stewardship and procedures are met.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Economics, Education, Communication, Business or Science related subject.
• 2 or more years of work experience. Ideally, experience in Sales, Customer Analytics, Economics, Agronomics or Retail
• Self-driven, curious with strong initiative to seek solutions, improvements for customers
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve assigned business, sales, and coaching/mentoring objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, values team effort, contribution and collaboration.
• Ability to manage remote work setting using voice, text, WebEx and digital methods to interact with customers.
• Experience in managing projects, making recommendations and presentations to influence customer behavior.
• Proven results at influencing and leading peers and/or management (e.g. sales role, remote sales).
• Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
• Passion for sales, agriculture, education, digital communication, analytics.
• Hands on experience desirable with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, CRM software,other analytical software Power BI, SAS and sales/marketing automation software
• West Location; PCA License or capable of attaining PCA License within agreed timeline.
• Acceptable DMV Report.
