College of Agriculture, Food & Environmental Sciences

Senior Project

All Cal Poly students are required to do a senior project prior to graduation.

The Agribusiness department has recently changed the way senior projects are done.

AGB 462- Applied Agribusiness Problems-is now the department's main senior project option, which most students will take to fulfill senior project. There are three other senior project options (AGB 460 & 461, AGB 463, AGB 464). These three courses are by permission of instructor only.

If you are interested in completing one of these three permission-only senior project options, please study the following information:

For AGB 460 (2 units) & AGB 461 (2 units), you must have a solid idea for a senior project thesis. If you are interested in this option, you must find an Agribusiness professor to supervise the project. This must be completed at least one quarter before you intend on enrolling. Be aware: this is a two quarter long senior project option.

For AGB 463 (4 units)-Agribusiness Consulting-a call for applications will be solicited via email at least one quarter before the class begins. This is a competitive application process. AGB 463 is a one quarter long class.

For AGB 464 (4 units)-Advanced Internship Experience in Agribusiness-you must have an internship already lined up. In addition, you must find an Agribusiness professor willing to supervise the internship. This must be completed at least one quarter before you intend on enrolling. AGB 464 is completed in one quarter.

Important note: If you are interested in completing AGB 460 & 461 or 463 or 464, it is up to you to make contact with a professor and get approval.
