Dr. Jeta Rudi Polloshka , Ph.D.

Dr. Jeta Rudi Polloshka is an applied economist whose research interests primarily focus on food and agricultural economics. Current research areas include food safety, food waste, food choices, and food security. In her research, Dr. Rudi Polloshka works with large datasets and utilizes data analysis tools to investigate various important and policy-relevant issues in the field of food and agricultural economics. Her recent work has been published in Economic Development Quarterly, Food Policy, and American Journal of Agricultural Economics. She advises several undergraduate agribusiness students in their research projects.

 

Dr. Rudi Polloshka was born and grew up in Kosovo. She moved to the United States after graduating from high school. Before joining the Agribusiness Department at Cal Poly, Dr. Rudi Polloshka earned her PhD in Applied Economics at University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She has taught undergraduate courses in Microeconomics and Managerial Economics at University of Minnesota. At Cal Poly, Dr. Rudi Polloshka currently teaches courses in Agricultural Data Literacy, Food & Fiber Marketing, and Agricultural Economics.
